Written by Loney Childress as one of the final tracks on tracks on their first CD (In Search of Dry Land), the song original spoofed boring bar songs and imitated the style of Credence Clearwater to a certain extent.
On this CD we covered our own song, ska style. Came out pretty nice.
lyrics
VERSE1
This is a stupid song, it really sucks, I'm not sure what went wrong
But I needed one more to play, so I just couldn't throw it away
'cause this, this, this is a stupid song
VERSE2
This is a stupid verse. But look on the bright side, I guess it could've been worse
Now don't be surprised tonight if I can't get the chorus right
'cause this, this, this is a stupid verse
VERSE3
This is a stupid note (hey), It's probably worse than any other I wrote. (thanks Loney!)
Now here comes the part when I tell you once again that this, this, this is a stupid song
GUITAR FILLS
This is stupid (yeh) it's really stupid
This is stupid (yeh) it's really stupid
This is stupid (yeh) it's really stupid
VERSE4
Yeh this is a stupid song. It really sucks, I'm not sure what went wrong.
But I needed one more to play so I just couldn't throw it away
'cause this, this, this is a stupid song. Oh this, this, this is a stupid song.
{What the heck was that? Sounds kinda cool}
